The food was truly a standout, with a varied buffet featuring fresh fish, salads, meats, and pastas that hit the mark for taste. The vibrant pool area offers ample sun loungers, and the absence of a mad dash for sunbeds allows for a more laid-back experience in enjoying the sun.
If you’re not Italian or comfortable with the language, you might find yourself feeling a bit out of place, as about 95% of the guests were Italian, making it hard to connect with others. The chalets can feel dated and remind you of 1960s vacation spots. plus, the beds are incredibly firm, which might make it tough for some to catch decent sleep. The beach has little shade, and walking to find toilets and drinks can be a trek, especially when it gets crowded at the one bar open at night. be prepared for an unexpected departure charge and visa fees upon arrival. you might enjoy it, but it’s not for everyone.

I stayed at Voi Vila do Farol for 7 nights. The room, a Standard Double Room, was clean but basic, lacking any luxury touches. The pool area felt vibrant, with enough space to lounge without competing for sunbeds. The beach nearby was beautiful, offering a nice spot to relax. The food served in the restaurant, while decent, had limited variety throughout the week, with Italian buffet themes dominating every meal. I found the red wine not quite up to my expectations but enjoyed trying local spirits. I appreciated the friendly kitchen staff, who clearly put effort into the meals. One downside was the limited language options, with most of the entertainment geared towards Italian guests, making it a bit challenging to engage with the animation team until the last afternoon. Wi-Fi was free but a bit slow, only accessible in the lobby. The long walk to find drinks during busy hours got tiring, especially at the beach. Despite these inconveniences, the ambiance and Italian culture brought a unique flavor to my stay.

I had a lovely stay where I enjoyed the local spirits and friendly ambiance throughout my visit. The relaxing saltwater pool and cozy sun loungers made it easy to unwind. While the limited drink options during busy times could be improved, it didn't lessen my experience at all. 😊
